Job summary

CSEngineering in Colorado Springs is seeking a Construction Inspector to support inspection, surveillance, QA, and documentation for complex DoD projects. The role requires interpreting plans and specs, verifying workmanship, and recording construction progress on site.

Qualifications

• Security clearance: NACI/SF85 (Public Trust).
• Minimum 3 years of construction or contract-related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Construction Technology.
• Experience inspecting materials, workmanship, utilities, and building systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract requirements.
• Knowledge of safety practices, inspection methods, trades, and applied mathematics.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80930.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite inspections to verify compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, schedules, codes, and safety standards.
• Monitor construction progress, sequencing, workmanship, materials, equipment installation, and contractor quality-control activities.
• Review contractor submittals, progress schedules, payment requests, and project documentation.
• Interpret plans and specifications, identify conflicts or field issues, and provide technical recommendations to support resolution.
• Inspect delivered and installed materials and equipment; document nonconforming work and support corrective-action verification.
• Maintain daily inspection logs, safety observations, formal reports, deficiency records, and records of field changes and project discussions.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, final inspections, and project closeout activities.
