Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc seeks a Construction QA Inspector to oversee field inspections, ensure compliance with plans, and prepare site reports for government projects. The role emphasizes surveillance across all construction phases and coordination with the project team.

The candidate should have a high school diploma (jeD) with extensive construction inspection experience on large federal contracts; hospital projects and relevant codes knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience on construction contract administration and inspection on large federal projects (DoD/USACE preferred).
• Experience with vertical construction and hospital projects is highly preferred.
• Experience with relevant codes (NFPA 101, NEC, IPC) and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on all construction phases for compliance with plans and specs to government personnel.
• Provides technical expertise to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and design instructions.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports including progress, safety, and subcontractor manpower.
• Observes construction phases for schedule and spec compliance; identifies issues and recommends changes.
• Prepares complete engineering plans or reports.
• Assists in contract modification processes.
• Reviews contractor plans and submittals for approval actions and safety programs.
• Monitors progress and notifies project team of potential delays.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma/GED minimum

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree
