Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Cloud Infrastructure Systems Engineer in our Chantilly, VA office to support a DoD Community customer as part of a high-performing team. You will participate in design, development, test, and deployment of a complex system within an Agile framework to enable mission success for multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering/Computer Technology or related field.
• DoD 8140 foundational requirements for System Developer role.
• Deep Linux and Windows knowledge; automation tooling strongly preferred.
• Experience with Ansible playbooks, scripting (Python/Bash), and Git.
• IDAM systems, PKI, and PKI troubleshooting experience.
• RH 8+ experience; deployment from bare metal; OS configuration.
• Security hardening, SELinux, patching, and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Support DoD customer through system lifecycle: development, integration, test, deployment and operations.
• Build mission-critical cloud infrastructure; deploy via automation tools.
• Develop Ansible playbooks for rapid installation and patching.
• Create operational docs: concepts, requirements, specs, interfaces, validation plans.
• Plan expansion of resources; conduct ground system trade studies.
