Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Systems Engineer for our Chantilly, VA office to support a DoD Community program. You will design, build, test, and deploy a high-performance ground system using Linux/Windows, automation tools, and RH OpenStack/OpenShift.

You will develop Ansible playbooks, maintain security configurations, and document system concepts, requirements, and interfaces. A TS/SCI-eligible clearance is required for this challenging role.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Associates degree with 10+ years in systems engineering; or Bachelor's with 8+ years; or Master's with 6+ years.
• Experience building and deploying cloud infrastructure and services.
• Proficiency creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks for automation.
• Experience with PKI, IDAM, Active Directory/FreeIPA, and PKI troubleshooting.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenStack/OpenShift and related RH tools.
• Ability to collaborate with DoD stakeholders and follow DoD security practices.
• Strong automation, scripting, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DoD customer and stakeholders across system lifecycle: development, integration, test, deployment, and operations.
• Build and deploy cloud instances and applications using automation to improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for rapid installation and patching across environments.
• Create system engineering documentation: concepts, requirements, specs, interfaces, validation plans.
• Plan for expansion of resources to meet program needs and perform trade studies.
