Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support DoD/IC customers as part of a highly skilled, high-performing team in Chantilly, VA. You will design, develop, test, and deploy complex systems in an Agile setting, contributing to mission success across stakeholders.

You will plan work in sprints, coordinate with multiple teams, and implement cloud networking with WAN/LAN designs, automation, and scalable architectures. A Top-Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• 8+ years of network engineering experience with relevant degrees; alternate combos accepted.
• DoD 8140 foundational requirements for Network Operations specialist.
• Experience building and maintaining networks in a classified environment.
• Experience configuring VLANs, VPNs, firewalls/switches/routers (Cisco, Arista, Brocade, Juniper, Palo Alto).
• Strong IP addressing/subnetting knowledge; DoD encryption/COMSEC background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and plan work for sprints and increments.
• Document WAN/LAN designs and support cloud networking requirements.
• Troubleshoot network anomalies; provide guidance to Tier teams.
• Configure firewalls, switches, and routers; track build-out status.
• Develop automation for cloud network infrastructure and operations.
• Create scalable, highly available network architectures for new systems.
