Job summary

Peraton is seeking a mid-level Enterprise Applications Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support a DoD customer. The role focuses on designing, automating, and sustaining Jira/Confluence environments on a complex cloud-based infrastructure, including RBAC, offline packages, and database administration.

You will collaborate across O&M and development teams, building Ansible playbooks for configuration, deployment, and patching, while ensuring security and compliance in air-gapped or classified

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS/CE or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to define requirements and design automated solutions for enterprise service portfolio.
• Build and operate automated environments for Jira/Confluence, creating Ansible playbooks for configuration, deployment, and patching.
• Design, configure, and customize collaboration spaces, workflows, and service components to support automation and team processes.
• Automate routine administration to reduce manual effort and prevent drift across services.
• Support Jira/Confluence configurations, testing in sandbox, and ensure updates are compliant and consistent.
• Develop and maintain workflows across Jira and other services to enforce automated task execution.
• Manage RBAC across Jira, Confluence, and other enterprise apps.
• Stage and validate offline packages, updates, and repositories for deployment across the environment.
• Implement permission models, notification schemes, screens, and other config changes focusing on consistency.
• Evaluate and deploy add-ons and extensions across enterprise services.
• Administer and sustain RHEL: patch, break-fix, restore, and input security measures.
• Operate the PostgreSQL database: backups, patches, health monitoring, and restores.
• Troubleshoot full stack from application to OS/database.
