Job summary

FedTec in Great Lakes, IL seeks a PC Systems Specialist to plan, design, install, and maintain personal computer systems. You will support moderately complex applications, engage with end users to identify requirements, and deliver solutions through custom programming, off-the-shelf software adaptation, or hardware optimization.

The role requires a Bachelor's or AA with 5+ years of relevant experience, DoD Secret (or higher) clearance, and CompTIA Security+ certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting PC hardware, software, and peripherals in a mid-to-large scale environment.
• US Citizenship Status: US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
• Must have verifiable DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and install new and existing PC systems.
• Consult with end users to determine hardware and software needs.
• Develop programs or customize COTS software to meet identified needs.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and system software.
• Administer and maintain telecommunications protocols as required.
• Provide troubleshooting, diagnostic support, and resolution for hardware and software issues.
• Train and support end users in the use of computer systems, software, and hardware tools.
• Document system configurations, processes, and user instructions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT security policies and access controls.
