Job summary

Life Cycle Engineering in Charleston, SC seeks a Systems Administrator to support DoD program operations at multiple locations. The role involves installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software, including VMware, Windows Server, and Linux environments, with emphasis on security controls and RMF/STIG compliance.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or 4 extra years of experience, IAT Level II/III certification, and US citizenship with active clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience in information systems management/IT/CS.
• IAT level II or III certification as required by the role.
• Experience configuring VMware, Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Familiarity with STIGs, RMF, and DoD IT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide network and computer systems administration: installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and lifecycle management of hardware/software.
• Perform IT installations, configurations, updates, and troubleshooting for workstations, servers, network, and virtualized infrastructure (VMware, Windows, Linux).
• Administer server-based systems, security devices, backups, monitoring, and STIG/RMF compliance.
• Offer consultations on security, network, and customer-service issues to sustain systems security and reliability.
• Maintain baseline system security in line with policies and SOPs.
• Collaborate with the network operations team to accomplish tasks and support DRMO activities for obsolete equipment.
