The role ensures reliability, security, and performance of enterprise servers and network infrastructure across multiple locations, with Windows and/or Linux environments. The ideal candidate will automate tasks, provide advanced technical support, and collaborate with network engineers and cybersecurity staff to deliver a stable, highly available infrastructure for critical DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience administering enterprise Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Current CompTIA Security+ (preferred), or Network+ or CND certification.
• Experience administering enterprise servers, networking, and operating systems.
• Experience with vulnerability management, system hardening, and security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex infrastructure issues.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise servers, OS, and network software.
• Plan and optimize system configurations for performance, reliability, and availability.
• Support server installations, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance across multiple locations.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve complex problems.
• Manage application networking, load balancing, and fault-tolerant configurations.
• Perform vulnerability management and remediation.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Create and maintain system administration procedures and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership to junior admins and support personnel.
• Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and application teams for secure operations.
