Job summary

Trace Systems Inc. seeks a Journeyman Network Engineer to support EACN networks at Joint Base Andrews, MD, in a 24/7/365 DoD environment. This role focuses on configuring, deploying, and securing LAN/WAN infrastructure for classified and unclassified services.

You will troubleshoot, upgrade, and monitor network systems, ensuring STIG alignment and regulatory compliance while working with ServiceNow, SolarWinds, and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required; higher-level eligibility may be required.
• US citizenship required.
• DoD 8140 qualifications for Network Operations Specialist (441).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, IT, Software Engineering or related training.
• CCNA certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Configure, implement, and support EACN LAN/WAN infrastructure and data exchange requirements.
• Troubleshoot, repair or replace, configure, monitor, and upgrade network equipment and systems (classified/unclassified).
• Support replacement of end-of-life hardware and software; perform installation and cutover activities.
• Review installation progress for accuracy and adherence to design and standards.
• Configure and maintain network security, monitoring, and analytics tools (ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Splunk).
