Job summary

Humantouch-LLC seeks a Technical Documentation and Training Specialist to capture undocumented processes and turn them into practical SOPs, guides, and knowledge base articles. You will interview SMEs, own the documentation library, and ensure accessibility standards are applied across all artifacts.

Building new content and training materials will be a core part of the role as programs evolve, with a strong focus on clear, plain-language output and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Three or more years writing procedural or process documentation in a professional setting.
• Experience creating documentation where none existed, using SME interviews rather than source material.
• Comfort with extended independent, detail-focused writing and editing work.
• Strong plain-language writing and editing skills.
• Experience delivering training or presentations to groups of various sizes.
• Working knowledge of Section 508 and accessibility requirements for digital content.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Experience maintaining a documentation library or version-controlled content set.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain SOPs, process guides, job aids, quick references, FAQs, and knowledge base articles from scratch.
• Interview SMEs to convert undocumented processes into clear procedures.
• Own the documentation library: structure, version control, findability, style, and retirement of stale content.
• Apply Section 508 and accessibility standards to all artifacts.
• Build and deliver training that follows the documentation, including onboarding and refresher sessions.
• Edit and proofread content to maintain a consistent voice across the PMO.
• Track training attendance, usage, and feedback for leadership reporting.
• Coordinate cross-team communication so process changes are documented and shared.
