Job summary

Maverick Power, headquartered in Texas, seeks a Document Systems Specialist in R&D to govern documentation strategy, standards, and systems across the organization. This role drives end-to-end documentation programs that impact product quality and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with XML/HTML, SharePoint, and complex technical writing, and can influence cross-functional teams in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical, mechanical, manufacturing, Quality team or related field, with demonstrated progression in responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent advanced experience).
• Demonstrated expertise in documentation architecture, information design, or knowledge management systems.
• XML or HTML experience.
• SharePoint.
• Advanced ability to interpret complex engineering and technical data and translate into structured, compliant documentation.
• General knowledge of ISO and other electrical standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish, govern, and enforce organization-wide documentation standards, policies, and best practices.
• Lead review sessions and direct collaboration resulting in the highest product quality outcome.
• Own and direct end-to-end documentation programs, including scope definition, prioritization, and strategic alignment with business objectives.
• Own and govern the lifecycle for operation documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Manuals.
• Develop complex, high-impact technical documentation that requires interpretation of engineering data and alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert and internal consultant to business units on documentation strategy and process improvement.
