Job summary

Farmers is seeking a Document Specialist I for on-site work in Caledonia, MI. You will process mail, prepare and scan documents, and index data for multiple units.

The role runs 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficient document handling. Candidate requirements include a high school diploma, strong typing and 10-key skills, and solid English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Keyboarding 35 wpm and 10-key skills.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Processes mail and documents for scanning.
• Distributes documents using location codes and business units.
• Prepares documents for scanning and handles fasteners.
• Operates a high-speed scanner and transfers images.
• Performs basic indexing by policy or agency numbers.
• Maintains confidentiality and handles shredding per policy.
• Aims to meet production standards set by leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
