Job summary

ASTEC is seeking an experienced Document Control Specialist to support engineering and production control in a heavy manufacturing setting. The role focuses on keeping documentation accurate, current, and compliant across Oracle, AX, and SolidWorks PDM systems.

You will create procedures, train process owners, and ensure data integrity for engineere d and procured parts while maintaining organized records and ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.

Qualifications

• AA degree or technical training in a related field.
• 5+ years of document control experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems, including Dynamics AX; Oracle and SolidWorks PDM preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and BOMs.
• Lean knowledge and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Document Control status on the computer.
• Create and maintain departmental procedures and processes on an as needed basis.
• Provide input in data systems from Oracle, AX, and SolidWorks PDM ensuring accuracy.
• Track and maintain procedural processes for Engineered and Procured parts.
• Approve processing of Engineered and Procured parts after tasks completion.
• Support training for process owners on document structure and control tool usage.
