Job summary

Teledyne Controls is seeking a detail-oriented document control specialist to ensure accuracy, integrity and regulatory compliance of engineering and quality documentation supporting aerospace and defense technologies.

You will manage document lifecycles, maintain repositories, track numbers, assist in the release process, review BOMs, perform data entry, conduct audits and support continuous improvement across workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a work ethic aligned with established procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage document lifecycles: creation, review, release, revision, and archival.
• Maintain document repositories in engineering document control systems with metadata integrity and access controls.
• Assign and track document, part and change numbers per company standards.
• Review engineering orders and ensure complete, compliant release packages and assist in the release process.
• Review and validate bill of materials and perform data entry within document management systems.
• Support configuration status accounting and generate release documentation lists.
• Conduct audits to ensure document accuracy, retention and compliance.
• Help with document distribution, transmittals and retrieval requests.
• Support continuous improvement of document control workflows and processes.
