Job summary

We at K&A Power Group–K&A Engineering in Binghamton, NY seek a seasoned Document Control Specialist to manage controlled documentation across drawings, procedures and reports. You will implement and audit revision control, ensuring accurate distribution and tracking for complex engineering projects.

The ideal candidate holds an associate or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), has 5+ years in document management with ProjectWise and SharePoint, and possesses knowledge in substations, T&D, and

• Associate and/or Bachelors degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Thriving in a team environment; ability to assist other document control resources.
• Understanding of design and drafting standards for check and release of engineering drawings.
• 5+ years of experience in Document Management with ProjectWise and SharePoint.
• Experience in Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro and OSG.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, training and auditing of all controlled documentation: drawings, procedures, reports and other documents under revision control.
• Process, distribute, and maintain controlled documentation using Customer document control system.
• Process documents for revision and approvals.
• Monitor distribution and reconciliation of process or reference documents.
• Perform overall document control and flow of engineering design/submittals and processes/reviews.
• Implement master tracking of all packages/deliverables and provide data from this tracking to support management reporting.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Document Control Specialist to join our team at K&A Engineering in Binghamton, New York. What we’re looking for:

• Associate and/or Bachelor’s degree in a related field of work; or a combination of two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Thriving in a team environment; be able to assist other document control/program management resources
• Understanding of design and drafting standards required for the check and release of engineering drawings
• 5+ years of experience in Document Management working with Project Wise and SharePoint
• Experience in the functional area under which it will be contracted: Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro and OSG

Pay Range: $65,000-$70,000/annually
