Job summary

BSP Trans Inc. is seeking a dock worker at its Windsor, VT location, offering a consistent Mon-Fri shift from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. You will sort, load, unload, and secure freight, using pallet jacks and forklifts.

The role requires attention to safety, teamwork, and the ability to lift heavy loads in a non-climate-controlled dock. The company has served Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont with LTL transportation since 1970, with a six-terminal network to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Must complete a county-level background check on onboarding.
• Ability to perform basic math with or without a calculator.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use pallet jack, forklift, and by hand as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Adhere to safety policies and work safely and efficiently on the dock.
• Dock is non climate-controlled and may be slippery; work may be in extended periods.
• Lift freight up to 50 lbs frequently and over 70 lbs occasionally.

$23 / hr | Monday - Friday | 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM | Windsor, VT

BSP Trans Inc. has been providing the Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont areas with outstanding LTL transportation services since 1970. At BSP, our team consists of a six-terminal network across our coverage area to ensure swift deliveries for customers.

What you will do on a typical shift:

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods of time and may be slippery
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally)

What you need at a minimum to succeed at BSP:

• To be at least 18 years of age
• Must have successful completion of a county level background check during onboarding
• Ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a high paced team-oriented environment with great communication skills

It would be great if you also have:

• Dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry
• Forklift experience in a freight/less-than-truckload environment
• Experience loading and unloading trailers
• Desire to succeed with a strong attention to detail
