Job summary

Pero Family Farms is seeking a Dock QC Inspector to ensure product safety and quality. Based in Wilkes-Barre, PA, this full-time onsite position tests raw materials, performs color, size and grade evaluations, and ensures GMP compliance throughout processing and storage.

The role requires monitoring of QA procedures, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with production and management to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Good communication in English, both written and spoken.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Basic math skills and working knowledge of English.
• Ability to collaborate with management.

Responsibilities

• Color, Sizing and grade evaluation of fresh perishable produce.
• Calibrations on weight scales, thermometers and testing tools.
• G.M.P. monitoring to ensure a food-safe environment.
• Color code enforcement; sanitation and allergen control.
• Hold and release program.
• Rework program.
• Shelf-life evaluation and sensory testing as required.
• Paperwork, filing, notifications and data entry for Team site/Quality System.
• Other duties as required.
