Job summary

Pure-Flavor is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to assess the quality of vegetables received, in inventory, and shipped from our facility. You will ensure loads meet customer and regulatory requirements and report on quality accordingly.

This role involves visually inspecting loads on arrival and outbound shipments, completing inspection reports, and maintaining accurate inventory classifications. The work environment is a refrigerated warehouse, with footwear safety requirements and

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Vegetable Inspector or Quality Inspector in produce or related industry.
• Knowledge of GMP, Health and Safety, and Food Safety.
• Basic understanding of Fresh Fruit & Vegetable regulations, plus Consumer Packaging & Labeling standards.
• Computer skills are essential.
• Keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy.
• Steel-toed shoes are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect loads visually on arrival; perform outbound inspections on shipments.
• Complete QC Inspection Reports for arriving loads, including distressed loads.
• Assess and categorize inventory by quality and condition.
• Place and release quarantine/on-hold product.
• Conduct outgoing quality checks or review checks by shippers.
• Regularly inspect finished products and packaging for adherence to standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information and company data.
• Other core expectations as defined by the company.
