Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Dockworker in Indianapolis to load and unload freight safely and efficiently, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling. You will follow DOT guidelines, secure loads, and support yard operations while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

This full-time role requires strong safety awareness and the ability to work flexible shifts across service center duties, with competitive benefits and a family-oriented work culture at OD.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safe lifting and freight procedures.
• Familiarity with shipping forms and yard management systems.
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Ability to meet shifting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand in line with DOT guidelines.
• Move across the service center to assist with loading and unloading.
• Monitor freight locations using the yard management system.
• Read shipping labels and complete shipping forms as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers with straps, airbags, and binders.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks and safety compliance.
• Work in a fast-paced environment to meet customer deadlines.
