Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a warehouse associate to transport freight in the dock area and support loading/unloading activities. The role requires forklift operation, documentation checks, and safe handling of goods in a fast-paced environment.

You will verify details, secure loads, assist customers, and perform hostling duties as needed. The position offers consistent hours and opportunities to work with a skilled logistics team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Warehouse/freight handling or forklift experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight of varying weights and to open trailer doors.
• Bend, twist, squat and push/pull freight throughout shift.
• Work well independently or as part of a team.
• Prior dock/warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and other equipment to move freight and load trailers.
• Verify freight documentation and weights in electronic or manual systems.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope or other supplies.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and documentation support.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
