Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock/warehouse associate to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers for loading. The role requires handling freight with forklift and pallet jack, verifying weight and documentation, and securing cargo for transport.

Primary duties include assisting customers, hosting duties as needed, and complying with safety policies. Starting pay is $21.16 per hour with shifts starting early morning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling or forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment such as forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
