Job summary

Forward Air Corporation in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, and move freight in a multimodal terminal or warehouse. You will operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, document cargo, and support dock processes while adhering to safety policies.

This role requires a valid forklift certification, 3+ years dock/warehouse experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 75 lbs with assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification required.
• 3+ years dock/warehouse experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE in a dock/warehouse setting.
• Move, stage, and position freight between doors, trailers, and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight to ensure accuracy and documentation integrity.
