Forward Air Corp. is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, stage, and move freight in a multimodal terminal, warehouse, or dock setting.

You will use sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient workflow. As a seasoned team member, you may mentor newer Material Handlers, help solve operational issues, and participate in safety training while adhering to OSHA and PPE standards.

Formación

• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• Ability to understand safety instructions and freight documentation.
• Experience using handheld scanners and basic computer systems.

Responsabilidades

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE in a safe manner.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between docks and warehouse areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Scan and track freight for accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Identify damaged freight and report issues to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized dock environment and tools.
• Support dock productivity and operational goals.
