Job summary
Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Dockworker in our Texas service center. You will safely load and unload freight, operate forklifts, and help secure cargo for on-time deliveries.

Qualifications
- Education: High school degree or equivalent.
- Experience with safe lifting and freight handling procedures.
- Familiarity with freight movement forms and DOT guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight on trailers using a forklift, pallet jack, or manually in line with state and federal DOT guidelines.
- Apply various loading techniques, including tight or cross loading.
- Move continuously throughout the service center on non-forgiving surfaces.
- Monitor freight shipment locations with the dock yard management system.
- Read and interpret shipping labels and related freight documents.
- Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and related supplies.
- Ensure the quality loading of all trailers; meet customer delivery schedules.
