Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Engineering 2 to lead the DMSMS and ModSim teams, coordinating priorities across OUs and ensuring high-quality analyses. The role is full-time in the office, located in San Diego, CA (preferred) or Palmdale, CA.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, mentoring, and CAM duties, with the opportunity to shape proposals and drive continuous improvement. Requires a STEM degree, active clearance, and 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM plus 8+ years of related experience (or 6+ years with a Master's).
• 3 years' experience with DMSMS and/or ModSim.
• Active Secret or higher clearance required (background investigation within 6 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Willing and able to travel up to 25%.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Product Support EI&E Director and OU Program Manager objectives.
• Serve as the technical authority on DMSMS and ModSim.
• Provide technical leadership, direction, and mentoring to engineering team members.
• Coordinate with other DMSMS and ModSim leaders to share best practices.
• Maintain cognizance of shifting guidance to influence SOWs and lead technical analyses.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Field Support, and others to ensure high-quality analyses.
• Manage suppliers to ensure high-value technical work is delivered.
• Oversee DMSMS mitigations by suppliers in coordination with customer and Management.
• Formally present technical status and solutions to leadership and the customer.
• Act as CAM for DMSMS and ModSim work packages when needed.
• Support and shape proposal activities.
