Integrated Home Care Services, Inc. (IHCS) is a leading in‑home healthcare provider offering DME, home health, and infusion services. IHCS seeks a Billing and Collection Specialist to manage patient accounts, communicate with patients and health plans, and pursue aging receivables with accuracy and integrity.

You will verify information, obtain necessary documentation, handle appeals/denials, and respond to plan inquiries while ensuring compliant and high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of DME collection experience.
• 2–3 years of healthcare billing and coding experience in Home Care Services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR and other computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient accounts after services are rendered and liaise with patients and health plans.
• Verify patient information and obtain/release clinical documentation.
• Process appeals/denials and respond to health plan inquiries.
• Perform follow-up on aging accounts and generate collection reports.
• Research and resolve delinquent accounts.

What will you be doing:

As a Billing and Collection Specialist, you handle patient accounts after medical services have been rendered; liaison between our company and our patients and health plans; verify patient information, obtaining and releasing clinical documentation, appeals/denials, responds to health plan inquiries, process and perform follow-up on aging accounts, generate collection reports, and research and resolve delinquent accounts.

What will you need to succeed:

• 1-2 years of DME Collection Required
• 2-3 years of healthcare billing and coding support experience within Home Care Services Required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use various computer programs and applications, IE EMR/EHR
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
• Medical Biller/Coder certification highly desired
