Zusammenfassung

Integrated Home Care Services is seeking a Billing and Collection Specialist to manage patient accounts, liaise with patients and health plans, verify information, and handle documentation and appeals. The role requires 1–2 years in DME collection and 2–3 years in healthcare billing and coding within Home Care, plus strong communication skills and EMR/EHR proficiency.

Responsibilities include aging account follow-ups, reporting, and resolving delinquent balances; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

What will you be doing:

As a Billing and Collection Specialist, you handle patient accounts after medical services have been rendered; liaison between our company and our patients and health plans; verify patient information, obtaining and releasing clinical documentation, appeals/denials, responds to health plan inquiries, process and perform follow-up on aging accounts, generate collection reports, and research and resolve delinquent accounts.

What will you need to succeed:

• 1-2 years of DME Collection Required
• 2-3 years of healthcare billing and coding support experience within Home Care Services Required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use various computer programs and applications, IE EMR/EHR
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
• Medical Biller/Coder certification highly desired
