Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD, is hiring for a DME support role. You will assist in ordering and delivering durable medical equipment, communicating with patients and clinicians, and ensuring timely processing and accurate patient data to support revenue and satisfaction.

The role requires a high school diploma, solid computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology. You may need a valid driver’s license and will work in a store or clinical setting as required by Sanford Health policies.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of computer functions and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Detail oriented, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to follow through to the end.
• Basic knowledge of the medical field, with prior experience in home medical equipment preferred.
• Current valid driver's license where applicable, and compliance with Sanford Health Category III driver guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Provide first-line communication with patients, referral sources, and clinicians to facilitate ordering and delivery of durable medical equipment (DME) products, supplies and services.
• Ensure all patient information is processed timely and accurately to enhance patient satisfaction and optimize revenue.
• Receive inquiries and orders in person, by telephone, fax, and email.
• Gather all necessary documentation related to payer requirements, SOPs, and compliance programs.
• Obtain any needed prior authorizations for services according to payer policy.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, and providers regarding coverage, use, and benefits of DME products, supplies and services.
