Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Security Solutions Engineer to strengthen customer security postures in enterprise environments. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, implementing and tuning DLP and CASB solutions, and guiding customers to maximize value from Proofpoint technologies.

In this customer-facing role, you’ll troubleshoot complex issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure service levels and security

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with DLP technologies or CASB solutions.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for DLP/CASB technologies, guiding customers and internal teams.
Lead troubleshooting for customer environments, including upgrades and break/fix scenarios.
Design and optimize DLP/CASB policies and detection logic.
Collaborate with Program Analysts to tune customer security solutions.
Ensure systems are configured, scalable, and meet customer growth needs.
Escalate complex issues through internal/vendor channels.
Document activities and manage projects in CRM/case systems.
Review change requests for accuracy and successful implementation.
Support achievement of customer Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
Stay current on threats and best practices; mentor junior engineers.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Maintain flexibility to support customer needs.
