Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Security Solutions Engineer to strengthen customer IT environments by implementing and optimizing DLP and CASB technologies. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring health, performance, and value realization of security solutions for enterprise customers.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and stay ahead of evolving threats while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a high-performing security practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• Proven experience in information security, network security, or related discipline.
• 2+ years hands-on with DLP technologies and/or CASB solutions (e.g., Proofpoint, CloudSOC/Elastica, Skyhigh, Netskope).
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, systems administration, and security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills; able to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for DLP and CASB technologies; guide customers and internal teams.
• Lead troubleshooting for customer environments including upgrades and maintenance.
• Design and optimize DLP/CASB policies and detection logic.
• Collaborate with Analysts and engineers to tune customer security solutions.
• Ensure systems are configured and scalable to support growth.
• Escalate complex issues through internal and vendor channels.
• Document activities and manage projects using CRM/case tools.
• Review change requests for accuracy and successful implementation.
• Support attainment of customer SLOs and service commitments.
• Stay current on threats and industry best practices; mentor junior staff.
