Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Security Solutions Engineer (SSE) to strengthen customer IT security postures and act as a trusted technical advisor. You will manage DLP and CASB implementations, work with customers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver innovative solutions that protect critical assets.

This role requires deep technical expertise, strong communication, and a customer-first mindset to support enterprise environments and evolving security challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with DLP or CASB technologies.
• Strong networking and systems administration knowledge (Windows/Linux).
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for DLP and CASB, providing guidance to customers and internal teams.
• Lead troubleshooting for customer environments, including upgrades, patches, maintenance, and break/fix scenarios.
• Design, configure, and optimize DLP and CASB policies and detection logic.
• Collaborate with analysts and engineers to develop and tune customer security solutions.
• Ensure systems are configured and scalable to support growth.
• Document activities and manage projects using internal systems.
• Stay current on threats and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in on-call rotation.
