Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business and help achieve sales and service objectives. This entry-level role covers customer interactions, basic automotive knowledge, and inventory tasks.

The position can be part-time or full-time, with responsibilities including battery installations, helper services, and efficient parts delivery. You will work with store systems (POS and inventory), handle pricing, and ensure a clean, operational environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate effectively.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately for transactions and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
