Job summary

Advance Auto Parts seeks a Retail Parts Pro to support advanced DIY customers in-store and by phone, with expert knowledge of store systems, parts knowledge and diagnostics. This full-time role requires strong customer service, accurate parts lookup, and sourcing from multiple channels.

Responsibilities include performing DIY services such as battery testing and wiper installs, maintaining inventory, and upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of automotive parts experience and proven sales ability.
• ASE certification preferred, but not required; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating manuals and parts catalogs.
• Strong math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• English speaking; Spanish a plus; effective communication with customers and team.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customers in-store and on calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation and testing, wiper installs.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Key holder responsibilities: task assignment, safety, open/close duties.
• Assist in inventory processes: cycle counts, back stock, order fulfillment.
• Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, parking lot, etc.
• Operate POS and parts lookup systems and inventory equipment.
