Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Program Development leader in Charlotte, NC to coordinate program contracts and funding applications. You will identify public funding sources and maintain critical agency relationships to ensure compliant and effective social services programs.

As a key representative, you will attend divisional and local Salvation Army events and guide program proposals with a focus on maximizing impact and grant success within the Division.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Services with five years’ progressive experience administering social service programs.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or related discipline with five years’ progressive experience.
• Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Relates to and coordinates with the Social Services Secretary/Grants Office on program contracts and applications.
• Identifies public funding sources for programming within the Division.
• Establishes and maintains contacts with state and local agencies involved in services funding.
• Represents The Salvation Army at divisional, national, territorial, and local functions.
