Job summary

The Salvation Army in Charlotte, NC seeks a seasoned program development and administration professional to oversee public funded programs and contract renewals. You will coordinate budgets, maintain relationships with state and local agencies, and represent the division at key Salvation Army functions.

Responsibilities include site visits, training, and coordination with divisional leadership to ensure compliance and effective use of public funds.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Services with five years’ progressive program administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or related field with five years’ progressive experience.
• Equivalent combinations of training and experience providing the required knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Relates to and communicates with grants office on program contracts and applications.
• Identifies public funding sources and maintains agency contacts with state/local agencies.
• Attends Salvation Army functions and represents the division at conferences and meetings.
• Reviews contracts, renewals, budgets, and ensures compliance with funding documents.
• Assists in identifying new program needs and develops proposals with cost/revenue considerations.
• Conducts site visits of funded programs and prepares evaluation reports.
