Job summary

The Salvation Army in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Youth Development Professional to assist program leaders in planning and delivering center activities for youth.

You will help ensure engaging, enriching experiences that promote Christ-like character and leadership. Responsibilities include supporting program development, monitoring safety, and helping with outreach and events at the Red Shield Youth Center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Youth for Success by creating an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes.
• Implements and administers programs, services and activities for Center members in an effective manner.
• Monitors and evaluates programs for safety, quality and appearance; prepare periodic activity reports.
• Assist with outreach to sustain and increase program membership and participation.
