Divisional Controller

Style Crest is seeking a Divisional Controller to manage financial operations for a manufacturing division, ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting, strong internal controls, and meaningful financial support for operational decision‑making. This role partners closely with operations, procurement, maintenance, and corporate finance to drive cost control, margin improvement, process efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for the plant: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements, KPI reports, and plant‑level P&L analysis; explain variances to operations and corporate finance.
- Develop and maintain budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling financial plans in partnership with plant leadership.
- Oversee cost accounting: standard cost maintenance, cost roll‑ups, inventory valuation, scrap, WIP, and overhead allocation.
- Manage intercompany transactions.
- Implement and enforce internal controls requirements as applicable; support external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives: cost reduction, process efficiency, throughput improvement, and margin enhancement projects.
- Supervise, coach, and develop plant accounting staff; set goals, monitor performance, and ensure appropriate staffing and coverage.
- Support capital expenditure planning, ROI analysis, and project accounting for plant investments.
- Coordinate with corporate finance, tax, and payroll teams to ensure consistency and compliance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience in manufacturing or plant environment; 2+ years in a supervisory or controller role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing accounting practices.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos) a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify drivers, and communicate insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
