Job summary

Omni One in the Columbus, Ohio area is seeking an Assistant Plant Controller to support financial operations, drive cost improvement initiatives, and partner with plant leadership to enhance profitability and operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, or plant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control processes.
  • Experience working within an ERP/MRP environment.
  • Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations and plant leadership to analyze and improve manufacturing performance.
  • Lead cost accounting activities, including product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve standard cost accounting methodologies.
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs while identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plan development.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
  • Monitor inventory controls and ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reconciliations.
  • Support ERP/MRP system optimization and reporting enhancements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit activities.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
