Job summary

LeoForce seeks a seasoned Business Unit Manager to lead our concrete construction operations in the DMV area. You will oversee a defined business unit, drive project success, profitability, and a high standard of safety and quality across all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• “Minimum 12 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 8 years in a similar operational management capacity.”
• “Proven concrete experience in shoring, forming, pouring, columns, deck work, and post-tension.”
• “Experience managing $30-50mil in concrete scope over 1-3 projects or more at one time.”
• “Experience building teams - recruited, interviewed and hired PMs and Superintendents.”
• “Experienced in multi-level cast in place concrete, and/or large heavy industrial work such as warehouses and data centers.”
• “Demonstrated experience in project management, risk management, budget management, and procurement.”
• “Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor teams.”
• “Problem solver who can influence formwork, shoring and deck execution, safety, financial forecasting, planning and following company procedure.”
• “Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.”
• “Proficiency in relevant construction software and project management tools.”
• “Certifications in Project Management and Risk Management would be an added advantage.”

• Manage and supervise a team of construction professionals, fostering teamwork and exceptional service delivery.
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from shoring and forming to pouring, columns, and deck work.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and budgets.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks and uncertainties.
• Ensure construction activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on business unit performance, providing insights to senior management.
