Jobot is seeking a dynamic Business Unit Manager to lead concrete construction operations in the DMV area. You will manage a team, drive project planning and delivery, and ensure profitability across all phases from shoring to deck work.

The role requires a 12+ year construction background with 8+ years in ops management, strong leadership, and proficiency in cost control and risk mitigation. Competitive package offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years in construction with 8+ years in operational management.
• Concrete experience in shoring, forming, pouring, columns, deck work, post-tension.
• Experience managing $30-50M concrete scope across 1–3+ projects.
• Proven ability to recruit, interview, and hire PMs and Superintendents.

• Oversee daily operations of the business unit and align with strategic objectives.
• Manage and supervise a team of construction professionals, fostering teamwork.
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects across all phases.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services within budgets.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Develop relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report business unit performance to senior management.
