Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids seeks a Division Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, planning, and controls for the division within a manufacturing setting. You will partner with the Division President, oversee month-end close, monitor performance vs budget, and translate results into actionable insights for strategic decisions, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP.

This role requires 5–7 years in accounting/finance, a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance, and

Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
Expertise in GAAP reporting standards and requirements.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Division President to improve financial and operational performance of the division.
Lead month-end close process for the division and maintain close checklist.
Collaborate with corporate finance to improve financial reporting, analysis, and performance management.
Translate financial results into actionable insights for strategic decision making.
Prepare and present division financials and performance to leadership and corporate team.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
