Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids, MI, invites you to join our Finance team as a Division Controller responsible for accounting, financial reporting, planning, analysis, working capital and internal controls within a manufacturing setting.

You will partner with the Division President and corporate leaders to improve performance, lead the month-end close, monitor budget variances, and translate financial results into actionable insights to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with controlling and/or cost accounting preferred.
Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Division President to improve financial and operational performance of the division.
Provide financial guidance and leadership to the division’s leadership team.
Collaborate with Corporate Controller and CFO to improve reporting, analysis, and performance management.
Translate financial results into actionable insights for strategic decisions.
Lead and own the monthly close process for the division.
Maintain a monthly close checklist and ensure timely, accurate reporting and consolidation.
Monitor performance against budget and prior year; explain variances.
Present division financials to Division President and corporate team; highlight variances and trends.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, and working capital.
Ensure US GAAP compliance and company policies.
Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
