Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Division Controller to lead the division's historical reporting, budgeting, and financial projections. You will act as the fiduciary for the division and partner with senior management to challenge decisions and improve processes.

The role requires directing month-end close, coordinating with Corporate Accounting, and driving pricing and financial controls across the division. A strong accounting background and JD Edwards experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; six to eight years of related experience
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time to meet deadlines
• Ability to accurately process and record large volumes of data
• Proficiency with MS Office and email

Responsibilities

• Assume fiduciary responsibility for enforcing operating procedures and policies
• Manage banking activities per corporate policies
• Report financial results in conformity with GAAP
• Oversee budgeting process and ensure budgets reflect contractual liabilities
• Oversee reliability of financial projections for corporate management
• Coordinate month-end close with Corporate Accounting
• Coordinate and implement pricing strategy with management
• Understand and utilize the division's computerized accounting system
• Perform financial and operational duties with field visits
• Conduct business professionally to enhance goodwill and profit
