Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Division Controller to manage a division's historical reporting, budgeting, and financial projections. You will act as the divisional conscience with fiduciary responsibility, partnering with senior management to ensure compliance and drive financial discipline.

The role includes leading the month-end close, coordinating with Corporate Accounting, and guiding pricing strategy while maintaining robust internal controls and accurate forecasts across the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; four-year college or university.
• Six to eight years of related experience and/or training.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time to balance deadlines.
• Ability to accurately process and record a large volume of data.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Enforce operating procedures and policies established by the company.
• Manage banking activities in accordance with corporate policies.
• Report GAAP-conforming financial results and accounting policies.
• Oversee budgeting process and reflect contractual liabilities in the system.
• Oversee preparation and reliability of financial projections for corporate management.
• Lead month-end close and coordinate division books with Corporate Accounting.
• Coordinate and implement pricing strategy approved by management.
• Utilize the division's computerized accounting system to its full capabilities.
• Balance financial and operational responsibilities with field visits.
• Conduct business ethically to enhance goodwill and profit.
