Job summary

RogueSearch in Alpharetta, GA seeks an experienced Controller/Accounting leader to oversee day-to-day accounting, general ledger ownership, and closing the books, while supporting finance and forecasting.

The role requires a minimum of a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, with 5+ years of GAAP experience; CPA preferred. You will direct accounting staff, coordinate monthly financial reports, and manage internal/external audits, ensuring strict policy adherence and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • CPA License preferred.
  • Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 5 years Strong knowledge of GAAP, cash flows, financial reports, and annual reports.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage long-term projects.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises accounting staff to ensure adherence to GAAP, strong internal controls, and adherence with Company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and/or directs the preparation of monthly financial reports, including analyzing budget vs. actual results and reviewing them with management.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and coordinates with homebuilding functional leaders to prepare and review.
  • Coordinates all internal and external audit requests.
  • Delegates work according to employee's abilities and skills.
  • Evaluates employee's performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance.
  • Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities.
  • Creates opportunities for employee growth.
  • Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors).
