Job summary

EASTLAND ISD seeks a Math Instructional Interventionist to provide districtwide leadership, coaching, and intervention support to strengthen mathematics instruction. You will collaborate with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, campus leaders, and teachers to align curriculum and improve student achievement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum, instruction, and intervention practices.
• Knowledge of TEKS, STAAR mathematics expectations, and vertical alignment from elementary mathematics through Algebra I.
• Ability to analyze student performance data and translate findings into instructional action.
• Ability to coach adult learners, model effective instruction, and provide constructive feedback.
• Knowledge of Tier I, II, III intervention systems and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with mathematics teachers to establish goals for student achievement and growth.
• Observe mathematics instruction and provide non-evaluative feedback, coaching, and problem solving.
• Model effective mathematics lessons, small-group instruction, intervention strategies, differentiation, and use of academic vocabulary.
• Co-plan and, when appropriate, co-teach mathematics lessons with classroom teachers.
• Help teachers move students along grade-level progression through interventions.
• Plan and provide professional development related to mathematics instruction and growth.
• Assist in aligning mathematics curriculum from elementary through Algebra I.
• Ensure alignment among TEKS, curriculum, assessments, and STAAR expectations.
• Identify prerequisite skill gaps and address vertical alignment across grades.
• Assist with implementation and evaluation of district mathematics curriculum and resources.
• Research effective practices and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Analyze mathematics performance data districtwide and monitor progress.
• Identify students behind targets and develop instructional responses.
• Monitor mathematics progress of key student groups.
• Evaluate effectiveness of interventions and adjust as needed.
