The primary responsibility of the Math Interventionist is support of students as it relates to math improvement. Focusing on Common Core State Standard expectations and utilizing data to align instructional lessons is essential. The expectation is that the Math Interventionist will use his/her expertise to assess student proficiency; identify specific areas of ability, needs and/or strength; develop an intervention plan; group students with similar needs for instruction; provide individual and/or group instruction, and evaluate student performance. Additionally, the job includes maintaining student records of progress, and communicating with students, staff, and administration concerning progress and plans.
