Job summary

Spartanburg County School District 6 District Wide in Roebuck, SC is seeking a Food Service Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair food service equipment across the district, including ovens, refrigeration, dishwashers, and serving lines.

Requires a high school diploma with training in electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R, plumbing, or related field; two years of relevant maintenance experience; and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical, vocational, or trade-school training in electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R, plumbing, or a related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in equipment maintenance required or preferred.
• Experience with commercial food service equipment is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair food service equipment throughout the school district.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on food preparation, cooking, refrigeration, dishwashing, serving, and sanitation equipment.
• Diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate corrective action.
• Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective components when appropriate.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and district standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and service requests in a timely manner.
