Job summary

Anderson County School District 5 District Office in Anderson, SC seeks an HVAC/Culinary Service Equipment Technician to repair, service, and maintain district HVAC and kitchen equipment. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• 3–5 years in HVAC/R or related field; experience may substitute education.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification and valid driver’s license.
• SC licensed mechanical contractor; ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication; train and guide others.

Responsibilities

• Repair, service, and maintain HVAC units, chillers, pumps and related equipment district-wide.
• Provide technical and onsite support to other technicians for equipment maintenance.
• Repair and maintain boilers, domestic water heating, refrigeration and cooking equipment.
• Test and maintain back-flow devices and fire/safety systems as required.
• Program, repair, and troubleshoot VFDs; work with building controls to ensure efficiency.
